How Does a Wii Work?

By Amanda Scholz

The Wii is a creative game system that is played by children and adults all  over the world. The idea for a Wii started in Japan from the Nintendo Company about four years ago by a woman named Pam Goschy. She started out by arranging a meeting in downtown Japan. Once the idea got out, the construction was on! Once they finally came out with the first design, it was not constructed with as many parts as we have today. It only consisted of, the Wii sensor bar, the Wii shell, the Wii nunchuck, and memory chips and wires. Now we have a lot of accessories like colored Wii covers and flowery designs. The Wii was eventually made into a fancy game system and it just started out as plain white hardware.

The Wii has many parts to it. They consist of, the New Official AC adaptor RVL, Wii sensor bar, Wii component cable, High Defenition, Nintendo Wii AV cable, Wii nunchuck, Wii LAN adaptor, Wii case replacement, Wii controller Silicon sleeve, Wii laser lens, Wii duel charging stand, and wires and chips. The accessories include, colorful Wii shells, Colorful Wii nunchucks and remotes, and colorful Silicon sleeves.

The Wii allows people to play over 970 games. That's a lot, huh? They slide into a slit that loads the game. The game will require a nunchuck to move an item or a character around. Also, you can get a Dance board for Dance Dance Revolution.

The Wii sounds like a fantastic game system from reading this article but it does have some downside modifications. One of them is it might effect learning abilities because you could be too engaged and that is the only thing you think about all day. Another downside is it might be an addiction to some people. However, the Wii is a great game system that is loved by almost everyone that has one!
