Electronics Needed for Testing!
(posted by Ben Wolfe; 03/06/13)
We are doing an energy audit of your house! ? Hopefully your child has given you some information on how and how much money you could save by switching your light bulbs to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). I ask if you could have your child bring in anything that plugs in that they want to test for energy usage. We will be doing this on Thursday for the E class and Friday for the S and M class. I have kilowatt meters that can give the amount of energy used when the device is plugged in and on or even off (some use energy while off if it is plugged in). I will make sure they put their name on the electronic and take it home that Thursday or Friday to keep it safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Test and Quiz Results
(posted by Ben Wolfe; 09/25/12)
I took the data of one of my classes and compared their test score to the quiz scores they had (which are mostly vocabulary quizzes). The trend shows an almost PERFECT direct relationship between the test and quiz scores. The important thing to take away from this is to get your child to study vocabulary as much as possible! There are 3 sets of vocabulary available on quizlet.com. Just search for benwolfe in american academy. Next test: THIS FRIDAY!!!
