Grade 6
Within the first couple of weeks of school, all incoming sixth graders will be required to label (and spell correctly) the seven continents, four oceans, the equator, the tropics, and the prime meridian.

Grade 7
Incoming seventh graders will be required to know the states and capitals by the beginning of the new school year. The students will be given a blank map with numbered states and they will be expected to know where each state is, how to spell that state name correctly and correctly identify and spell each capital.

Grade 8
Within the first weeks back to school, students will be tested on their knowledge of two separate maps: one of Asia and one of Europe. On the test, they will be given a blank map with outlines of all the countries and must correctly name and spell the appropriate countries for each of those continents. Students should use the following websites to help them study for this test.
