Fifth Grade Teacher
I feel so fortunate to be starting my teaching career at American Academy. I graduated from DePauw University with a sociology/anthropology degree. Knowing I wanted to work with children and serve the community, I moved to Denver and completed two years of Americorps. Last year I got my elementary teaching license through the Stanley British Primary School Teacher Preparation Program in Denver. It is the oldest alternative licensure program in Colorado. While in the program, I was able to start a Masters in Educational Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver. It is my goal to get to know my students strengths and challenge their curiosities.
